We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Civil Engineering, Swami Vivekanand College of Engineering (SVCE), Indore, successfully conducted a technical visit to the Barwah - Balwara Muktyara Section on 27-March-2025. Total 34 students participated in the visit.The visit provided valuable industry exposure to our students on railway infrastructure and bridge construction.
During the visit, students observed:
EV-2 Plate Load Test on broad gauge subgrade, explained by Mr. Anil Meena (JE, Indian Railways).
Material Testing Laboratory at KEC International Limited, where Mr. Ajay Tiwari (QA/QC Manager, KEC International Limited) demonstrated various construction material tests.
Post-Tensioned Concrete Slab Casting Site, where students learned about specifications, construction methodology, and quality control.
Under-Construction Bridge on Narmada River (Barwaha), where ongoing pile foundation work was explained in detail.
This visit enhanced students’ practical knowledge, industry interaction, and understanding of modern construction techniques. We extend our sincere gratitude to Indian Railways, KEC International Limited, and all involved professionals for their support.
